22 / 06 / 2019 Lybster to Wick
Setting off at about 7am from Lybster with the tide ebbing, the sea was generally very sedate, the sky was blue, and the sun was hot. For the first hour or so we were getting a good push, which partially offset the fact that the last five miles or so of the journey were done against the full force of the flooding tide and VERY slow progress. The light was great since we were paddling in the morning on the northeast coast, and after a half hour break at the Whaligoe Steps and a five minute leg stretch at Sarclet we eventually made it back to the car at Camps. All in all a great paddle and a nice bit of lobsterising sunburn.
